Producer profile: Krug
Add your own review of this item By: Pinot Noir and its relative Pinot Meunier, provide the backbone to many blends, adding structure, body and supple red fruit flavors. Its exceptional finesse is the result of a stay of at least another six years in the cellars. Creamy, complex, and exotic, it is a perfect choice with the grandest of meals. A very complex nose here with ripe, deep lemon and grapefruit aromas on offer plus some restrained chalky elements, biscuit, some roasting herbs, hints of pepper, then a little tobacco too. This small but great house stands alone atop the Champagne pyramid, admired and respected but still distant, mysterious; its critics would even say elitist. This bottle carries ID Code:

Spring flowers, red berries, ripe tree fruits, subtle apricot and peach. Ideal example of vintage expressing its unique qualities. The nose offers a rich and profound aromas of ripe apricot, heavily honied brioche, toasted nuts with layer of fruits and marmalade. It is one of the most generous masterpieces, full of joy, full of greatness, with a kind of majestic presence. I have encountered a few Krug with bottle variation.
